Sensor Signal Processing for Defence (SSPD 2010) is the first annul Conference orginised by the UDRC to be held at Imperial College London, UK from 29-30 September 2010. The purpose of the conference is to provide a public forum for researchers from academia, defence, government and industry to present, exchange ideas and discuss developments in multisensory signal processing.
Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
This research programme will investigate and develop new distributed multi-target multi-source detection (DMMD) and tracking algorithms for sensor networks with constrained communication resources. Current approaches to DMMD have generalised distributed data fusion (DDF) algorithms by combining them with multiple hypothesis tracking (MHT) algorithms. However, the approximations inherent in MHT can lead to an unacceptable degradation in tracking performance.
